The Blog Has Moved!!!

Ladies and gentleman, this is the final entry in the blogger blog because we are moving to

That is a Wordpress site built into my domain. But that is not the only exciting news. In addition to this blog movement, I will now be writing and publishing in three additional blogs on a weekly basis:

I enjoy writing poetry; I always have, but I never really had a good venue that I wanted to use for it. Now I do, this blog. Go over and see if you like them or not.

The Blog of Life - life.thirteencrossroads.com

This is a blog about life, the world we live in, and the things people think matter. I like analyzing the things we do or believe in society and drawing better understanding from it.

I would be remiss if I ignored the things that matter the most to me, about my beliefs and becoming a better person. Here I write essays on discipleship and Christ each week.

I have been musing options to get a newsletter out each month, and finally have things figured out. Go to the above page and sign up for the Thirteen Crossroads Newsletter, which will come out at the start of each month. The link above will take you to my website where the signup form for the newsletter is.

In Sum

New blog: go follow it

Newsletter: sign up for it

Thirteen Crossroads: keep reading Trevor's stories!

Alright everybody, that's it for blogger. Goodbye for now. See you on the other site (see what I did there?).

May Update: Outcast Chapter Five Out; More Updates to Come

The Outcast and the Survivor: Chapter Five is here!

I'm seriously in love with this story, and am enjoying just garnishing it with more characters and places. There are also some themes that are developing and little references and allusions to things going on in the world that will suddenly become very important later on! I look forward to what the rest of part one (chapters 1-12) will have in store for all of you.

In related news, The Boy Who Chased the Sun is still in drafting, but I am hoping to have it published by the end of the month. Same goes for Destiny (at least a new polished draft by the end of the month).

Now there are a lot of other little things that I'm developing right now, and I was going to give some updates in this entry, but I've decided to wait until some new plans are in motion before I announce anything (i.e. I need to figure out what on earth I'm doing before I tell you). So anyway, more announcements to come in the next week-ish. For now, enjoy chapter five, and have a great week!

Facebook Giveaway

Alright, marketing for Crystal Palace and everything else is finally getting in gear. Some of you are here thanks to some advertisement you saw, and others have been here from the start. Either way, get on Facebook and share something from the website, like a story or picture or something, or the Facebook page or something on Facebook relating to my stories, designs, and include the hashtag #findthirteenreaders. I will find one of you each day and give you the option of choosing one or more of my e-books that you'll be gifted (on Amazon or Nook as you prefer). Good luck!

New Outcast Chapter Out and Some Other Updates

Hello all,

The new chapter, chapter four, of The Outcast and the Survivor, is now available for Kindle, Nook, and on thirteencrossroads.com. It has actually been out for several days, but I didn't want to write this until I completed the update on the site. I'm running a little late on these things because I've been a bit more focused on my father, who is having brain surgery today to clip two aneurysms. Thank you for your patience.

This brings me to another update I wanted to post about. I'll be running a number of ads starting this weekend on various blogs, so traffic on this site should be going up a little (meaning this will be some of your first times reading my blog post). I thought I would take this opportunity to explain that I'm going to loosen up my release dates moving forward. My goal for The Outcast and the Survivor will still be to release each new chapter on the 1st of a month, but I don't want to hold myself to a date if I need an extra day or two, so moving forward I will be using more general release dates until I am closer to a release date. Just follow on social media or just this blog to keep updated.

I will be doing this for all of my release dates moving forward, which you'll see for the release dates of the first books in the Distant Souls and Destiny series. I should still be able to hit close to the original date for those and my other works, but I've just found that I don't like having a specific date that I'm requiring myself to be done by because, well, I want the stories to be as great as they can be, and a few extra days can make a world of a difference.

So I think that's all I have for now. There are plenty of stories available right now; there is no shortage of what you can explore/read from me. Just explore thirteencrossroads.com or go to my authors pages on Goodreads and Amazon.

Thank you all for following this awesome journey. I look forward with great anticipation on what I have in store for you in the future!

The Boy Who Chased The Sun Delayed

Greetings all!

I know it's still a week away from April, but I want to give the heads up that I'm going to need a bit more time to finish The Boy Who Chased the Sun and get it exactly the way I want it to be. So I'm creating a more general release date of April, 2015.

The next chapter of the Outcast series will be available on the 1st still, so no worries on that. I just want to spend much more time on marketing the next couple of weeks, and getting more people on this site looking around.

A special thanks for all of you following and supporting me right now!

Falcon of the Night now available

It has taken several days longer than I had hoped, but the short story Falcon of the Night is now available. I apologize for the delay, but at the same time, I don't. I'm very happy with the way the story has developed, been polished in the last week. I think it turned out even better than I'd hoped, the cover included. Give it a read, you'll love it!

That being said, because it took so long, it cut into the time I needed to prepare another short story for April, so I won't be releasing another short story until the start of May. But you can look forward to the release of the next Outcast chapter and The Boy Who Chased the Sun in early April.

To clarify release dates, I really have the best of intentions to hit them spot on and be done early (that's what I'm going for with the April 1st releases). That being said, it's important that everything I release meets the standards of quality I want them to be. None of them are perfect, because there is no such thing as a perfect story, but I try to get them to a point that I am satisfied with them and feel like they are ready to go out in the world (which to me is a lot like how some birds teach their offspring to fly, by tossing them off a cliff and seeing what comes of it).

Anyway, thanks for following along, and I really hope you enjoy this story. See you all next month.

The Outcast and the Survivor Chapter Three Now Available

The next chapter in the Outcast series (TOATS) is now up on the site and available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I'm very excited about it (and the cover which I absolutely love). Falcon of the Night, a short story taking place in the world of Eretsfel, should become available Friday or Saturday.

Early March Update

Try as I could, some events beyond my control made it impossible for me to have everything done for today (the 2nd, I'll never release a story on the 1st if it is a Sunday). Chapter 3 is completely done for TOATS, cover and final draft, and I will be publishing it in the morning. The short story, now titled Falcon of the Night, will be published by the end of this week.

Crystal Palace Softcover Update

I wanted to post a quick update for something I have to do involving the softcover copy of Crystal Palace: The Coming Storm. I am needing to make a small graphical update on the cover file for the book, and consequently, it will be no longer available in softcover for a couple of days. This won't interfere with e-book copies, which will continue to be available for purchase. I will try to make sure that the links continue to work and send you to the Kindle copy since the softcover title won't be listed for a couple of days. My apologies in advance.

The Outcast Chapter Two Released

I am very excited to have chapter two of the Outcast series completed. It took a little longer than I had wanted, but it will be well worth the wait. The story is going in a direction I'm very happy with, and I look forward to really developing the central plot of Part I over the next couple of months. The chapter is now up on the site, and is also available on Kindle (Nook is still waiting to process the manuscript; it should be available this evening or tomorrow - as usual I'll update links as soon as I can).

That will be the only thing I release for the remainder of February. I'll be releasing another short story taking place in Eretsfel as well as the next chapter of Outcast (TOATS) on March 1st.

Some updates coming February 16th

Over the past two weeks, I have been finishing up some important touch-ups for the website in order to make it easier to navigate, as well as a number of other tasks involving the business and marketing side. Unfortunately, those have gotten in the way of publishing the next chapter of the Outcast series, which will officially be done and ready to go on Monday, February 16th.

I will be pushing a number of updates to the website as well over the next few days, which includes a big change to the home page as well as some minor bug and other fixes that are much less glamorous but nevertheless necessary. I just wanted to put this update out there for those of you who feel a little left in the dark.

The Mines available February 1st

After an extremely strenuous week, I'm happy to say that The Mines is ready to go. All things have been submitted, and it should be available for Nook and Kindle in the morning (I will update all links as they are officially listed on Amazon and Barnes & Noble).

The softcover copy is also completed, but will likely not be available until Monday for purchase. I'm ecstatic to be at this point because I am now caught up with all that I had promised with the initial release of the site and can move on to a much more predictable and less crazy schedule for getting things completed, edited, and published.

In order to ensure this, I am going to delay publishing another short story for the world of Crystal Palace until the end of February. The next Outcast series chapter, which is nearly completed, will be released sometime during the next week (that will be my next update). Once that is out, it will be a heavy month of marketing and looking toward the future--finally!!

A few days behind

A quick update, and that is, The Mines will likely not be available until Wednesday. I apologize for the delay, but this month has been unusual because of the amount of materials I'm releasing and having to go over several times. Those of you who write will know how hard it can be to transition from one work to another to another, at least mentally. You can't enjoy that sense of satisfaction that comes from completing something because you have something else that you immediately need to then work on, and you therefore miss out on the rejuvenating effects of finishing something of worth.

That being said, this month, and all of its releases, has really enthused me about the coming months. Full-scale marketing efforts will begin in the coming days and months, and with that will come a lot of new readers. I've been loving the feedback I've gotten so far, and look forward to more of it as time passes. So with that said, I'll push hard to get the Mines out as quickly as I can, which will allow me to be ready for next week when the new chapter of the Outcast is published, as well as a new short story from the world of Eretsfel.

Crashing From Heaven softcover now available.

Crashing From Heaven is now available on Amazon for softcover (in addition to for Kindle and on Barnes & Noble for Nook). I have updated the links on the site for this.

The rest of this week and weekend will go to finishing up getting things ready for The Mines to be released on next Monday. At that point, the initial release materials will be completed for Thirteen Crossroads Publishing and extensive marketing efforts will begin. I appreciate those of you who have kept up here in the beginning. In the next several weeks, there will start being a lot more of you.

'Til Monday!

Crashing From Heaven Out... for the most part

I apologize for the day-late update, but Crashing From Heaven is now available on Amazon for Kindle. The softcover copy is in final review and should be available within a day or two (I'll post an update when it is). The Nook copy should also be available for purchase in the coming hours. I will update all links in the morning.

Despite the delay, I will have plenty of time in the coming days to finalize things for The Mines and have it ready to go next Monday.

A Journey South Now Available, The Mines and Crashing From Heaven release dates

A Journey South, a short story taking place in the world of Crystal Palace, is now available on the website and will be available on Nook and Kindle in the coming hours (I will update links this evening when they are fully listed on Barnes & Noble and Amazon). It's the longest short story so far, and the last I will release this month (another coming on February 1st along with a new chapter to The Outcast and the Survivor).

To give an update on The Mines and Crashing From Heaven, I'm giving myself a little extra time (with specific dates) to finish them up so I can calm down and focus on marketing (which I haven't done at all in an effort to finish off these short stories with the proper touch and attention to detail).

Crashing From Heaven will be released next Monday (January 19th). It will be available in softcover on Amazon as well as the usual Nook and Kindle distribution.

The Mines will be available the following Monday (January 26th). Like Crashing, it will be available for softcover and also on Nook/Kindle.

I won't have any big updates until next Sunday evening when I publish Crashing From Heaven. I'm up to Idaho to visit family and do a little marketing for the next few days. Until then, I hope you enjoy the short stories that have been released in the last week.

Update: The Dead Seas now available

The Dead Seas, a short story taking place in the world of Eretsfel, is up and available on the website. I've also submitted it to Nook and Kindle. They should be available in the morning, and as usual, I'll update the links when they're officially listed. Tomorrow (and possibly stretching into Saturday), I'll work on A Journey South and have it up.

The Tradesman Now Uploaded to the Site, Kindle, and Nook

Another quick update. The Tradesman, a short story that takes place in the world of Crystal Palace, is now up on the site and has also been published on Kindle and Nook. I will update the links for the site in the morning when they have officially been listed. I will work on The Dead Seas next, another Crystal Palace short story, but expect it on Thursday rather than tomorrow, though you never know.

Outcast and the Survivor Chapter One Now Available

Just a quick update. I've uploaded the full first chapter of the Outcast and the Survivor chapter-series. I also just published it on Kindle and Nook ($.99 for those who want the convenience of reading it using those devices). I'll update the links for Amazon and Barnes & Noble in the morning once they're officially listed. In the meantime, you can of course read it in full on the site.

Enjoy!

Crystal Palace: The Coming Storm has been published!!!

As promised, here is my Sunday evening update. I have worked tirelessly over the past few days to get everything with the website prepared, including sample pages for all of the works that I am releasing (Crystal Palace, The Mines, Crashing From Heaven, The Outcast & The Survivor Chapter 1, The Dead Seas, The Tradesman, and A Journey South) as well as finalized cover designs.

Now while I prepared everything, I still need to do one final proof for each of these (except for Crystal Palace - see next paragraph). So instead of forcing them all out at once, I'm going to release one a day over the next week (when I say release, I mean both the samples on the website and the Kindle and Nook versions). In addition, there are a couple things around the site that I'm working on still (like graphics that I'm trying to refine). You may notice them, you may not. Overall, I'm loving how the site and everything looks and am excited to go on living a much more normal life in which I do more writing and editing than web and graphic design.

CRYSTAL PALACE!!! This, my golden egg that I've been warming beneath my bum for several months until it was just right, has now finally been published on Amazon for Kindle and softcover copies as well as on Barnes & Noble for the Nook. It should be listed and available tomorrow for the e-copies (though Nook sometimes takes slightly longer than Kindle), and softcover copies will be available later this week (I'll update on when of course). Once they're up on Barnes & Noble and Amazon, I'll update the links on the site and begin much more massive marketing efforts.

It's an exciting yet terrifying time. The thing I look forward to most, however, is simply moving on to my next stories. I've been sitting on a 50,000 word outline of Destiny for over a year, and now I'll be able to finally start drafting! I also look forward to working on a bunch of other shorter works and essays, as well as other aspects of graphic and web design. I've said this to people before, but those of you who follow me from this point forward really are going to be joining me for a journey, so I hope you keep up to date and let people know, because there are few if any young authors doing the things that I'm doing, and I feel that the results speak for themselves.

Expect another update in the next couple days!!
